Rootdown has joined the likes of Verden, Eat 17 & Sabel, offering locals another great restaurant on their doorstep.
With a distinctly New York vibe, we love the cool, stripped back interior.
We popped in for brunch – and with Bellini’s & Bloody Mary’s going for a fiver, it won’t be the last time either!
I love anywhere that proudly offers up a good ol’ bacon sarnie on sourdough, which these guys do, as well as the obligatory avocado on toast.
More interestingly however is the Duck Hash, topped with a poached egg and hollandaise – just beautiful. You must try it for yourself.
Fancy an interesting veggie option? Broccoli spears are piled on top of sourdough, topped with soft boiled eggs before lashings of parmesan & a sprinkle of sumac complete the dish. A good size, this felt like a pretty healthy way of kicking that hangover out of our way!
With the menu changing every few weeks, this is a great local recommendation to keep up your sleeve!
