We are SO excited for the spectacular second edition of Lumiere London – the UK’s biggest and most impressive light festival – and some of the city’s most exciting eateries have teamed up to offer the ‘Dine Your Way’ menu, giving guests the chance to sample a different course in each of the restaurants along the route of illuminated installations. What a GREAT idea!!
Available between 18th – 21st January, restaurants including The Perception at W London, The Booking Office at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London, the Palm Court at Sheraton Grand London Park Lane and Gillray’s Steakhouse & Bar at London Marriott County Hall are inviting the nocturnal explorers to take a pit-stop between each festival hotspot to indulge in a specially designed dish or cocktail.
For those starting the evening in King’s Cross to marvel at the ethereal dream-like Waterlicht by Daan Roosegaarde, stop by the Booking Office to try the Green Glow – a refreshing gin cocktail with hints of citrus finished with a fitting glowing garnish. A quick hop on the easy transport links across to Leicester Square to see the extraordinary flame coloured birds serenely floating above the crowds will be sure to work up an appetite just in time to enjoy a main dish designed by acclaimed chef Magnus Reid at the recently opened The Perception at W London. A short stroll past the two paper-cut figures dancing elegantly across the Royal Academy of Arts to The Terrace Grill & Bar at Le Meridien Piccadilly for spiced apple crumble with hot toddy ice-cream will be sure to satisfy the sweet-toothed.
Or, begin the tour at Bond Street to playfully test out the illuminated interactive seesaws and drop into the Lanes of London bar at the luxurious London Marriott Park Lane for a pre-dinner cocktail or two. The art-deco interiors of the Palm Court at Sheraton Grand London Park Lane on Piccadilly will provide a cosy respite as guests tuck into a decadent Truffle Mac n Cheese before exploring Mayfair and catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights by Aleksandra Stratimirovic. End the evening on London’s South Bank to see the breath-taking animated portrait by Emma Allen and Daisy Thompson-Lake underneath Waterloo Station, but not before savouring the speciality dark chocolate mousse for dessert at Gillray’s Steakhouse & Bar.
Tickets will be £35 and are available here.
