Lately we’ve been drinking…

A selection of Harviestoun Brewery’s latest ales – perfect for a drink in the sun right now!

Harviestoun ‘Bitter & Twisted’ is particularly well suited sunshine beer – light, hoppy and sweet. Definitely our favourite of their latest brews though if you prefer a more traditional ale then the Old Engine Oil black ale is a great one to have later in the evening maybe; with a fuller, creamier flavour with hints of coffee.

Brewed exclusively for Marks and Spencer, Harviestoun Brewery has launched Lowland Glen Amber, a new amber ale made in the region of Clackmannshire, in the heart of Scotland. With its deep copper colour and malty peach aroma, this beer’s complexity is driven by its high Simcoe hop content, which gives it a fantastically fruit finish with lovely malty undertones. Perfect for enjoying at barbecues or with spicy curries, Lowland Glen Amber has a finish that is at once sweet and long, sharp and bitter.

Harviestoun expertly hand brew ground-breaking, quality iconic beers for discerning drinkers to enjoy across the globe and have been working at their craft for over 30 years, pioneering Craft brewing North of the border and across the UK. Exclusively brewed in Alva, Scotland, the brewery produces a range of lagers and ales including the bestselling Schiehallion Craft lager, Bitter & Twisted golden ale and their unique collaboration with Highland Park whisky distillery, Ola Dubh ale – a world renowned beer matured in whisky casks.

Harviestoun Brewery

Harviestoun Brewery started life humbly in Scotland in October 1983 when beer lover and home brewer Ken Brooker invited friends and family to his garden shed for his first ever tasting session. Following his friends’ comments, Ken began experimenting with different tastes and created his own range of individual beers. After just three years, Ken received planning permission to convert a disused steading into a small brewery in the beautiful Dollar glen. The brewery is still independently owned by real ale veterans Donald MacDonald and Sandy Orr and Managing Director Toby Knowles.

With a team of 16 people, Harviestoun produce a core range of 6 beers that have won over 40 major international and UK awards in the last 3 years and continue to innovate in their search for category defining beers. Work also continues on their Wee Beastie Collection, an exclusive range of edgy craft beers created on a small brew kit, letting their brewers off the leash to concoct something truly original, with no taste combination off limits.
