Draft House will bring together The Hole, Hackney’s finest doughnut makers and The Five Points brewery for a doughnuts and beer pairing at the Birdcage pub.
The Five Points, is a microbrewery in Hackney crafting the finest unfiltered and unpasteurized beer in small batches. Working with Draft House Birdcage, the team have selected several of their favourite beers to accompany The Hole’s doughnuts, which are made by hand in Hackney in a myriad of sweet and savoury flavours, ranging from Chocolate and Toffee to Katsu curry.
From 7pm on Wednesday 12th August, in the midst of London Beer City celebrations, the Birdcage will be home to this cop-style after-hours indulgence. The event is ticketed at £15 for five doughnuts with five beers. Pairings may include Five Points Pale Ale with a Salt & Vinegar round, Red Hook with The Hole’s Cherry doughnut or the IPA accompanied by Lychee & Grapefruit.
“What could be better than beer and doughnuts? It’s a winning combination and we’re chuffed that both are made locally by people who are really passionate about their craft,” says Charlie, founder of Draft House.
