We’ll take all the good news stories hospitality can throw at right now so we’re delighted to let you lot know Tonkotsu are opening a new site in Walthamstow. Steaming bowls of hot ramen, just in time for winter – sign us up!
It’s the twelfth site from the team (no we didn’t realise there were so many either!) and as you’d expect, the menu focuses on its signature ramen bowls, gyoza, and chicken kara-age.
Traditionally Tonkotsu has celebrated a new opening with a £5 ramen soft launch but, as that tends to draw in the crowds like you wouldn’t believe, it’s not particularly in keeping with this ‘uncertain times’. So, instead, they’re replacing that with a new online lottery. How very covid-friendly. Just register here and you’ll receive a £5 voucher to use at a time of your choosing (as long as it’s within the first three weeks of opening!). Feeling lucky? An additional 30 people will be picked at random to win a £50 voucher – woooweeee.
You’ll be able to use the vouchers in the restaurant or if you’re still not feeling going out, there’s also Tonkotsu’s new ‘Click and Collect’ service. We feel a working lunch ramen coming on!
The new site will be located on Hoe Street, in the heart of Walthamstow and will feature beers from E17 neighbours Signature Brew, as well as a brand new vegan version of the chili wings, made with cauliflower.
