Move over Dishoom, there’s a new Indian in town – and it takes BOOKINGS!!!!!!!!! Hurrah!
Tandoor Chop house is the latest restaurant by the cool kids at Ennismore (behind The Hoxton Hotel, EGGBREAK in Notting Hill etc). So it goes without saying that this place is going to be pretty hot property.
Expect a fusion of Indian spices with great quality British cuts of meat. You won’t find sloppy curries on the menu but you WILL find chops (chicken, lamb, beef!) in the most glorious of marinades.
Stepping through the door you know this place has had the Hoxton touch. The décor is on point, we loved the oak panelled walls and insta-worthy marble tables & floor tiles.
We suggest kicking things off with a chop house G&T – Portobello Road is paired with sour cherry, lime and juniper berries with Indian Tonic.
The whole menu is designed to share which is ideal as we wanted to order EVERYTHING.
To start we snacked on a mini keema naan rich with beef dripping, green chilli and cooling yoghurt.
Onto the Tandoor and we were blown away by the simply titled House Chicken & those lamb chops – SO delicious and surely soon to be clogging up your Insta feed. They have strong side game too – the black dahl is perfection and we’ll be back to try the tikka corn on the cob.
Don’t leave without trying the coal roasted pineapple with honey ice-cream and wash it all down with a CHAI espresso martini – it comes with a cute little box of spice for you to sprinkle over the top – game changer.
Tandoor Chop House will be open every day, from lunch through to dinner.
