Shake Shack Leicester Square

Shake Shack Leicester Square is the fifth and latest of the US chain’s outlets in London. They aim to provide counter-service, fast-food classics but with an emphasis on quality.

Shake Shack offers exactly what you’d expect – a mix of burgers, hot dogs, fries and shakes – but also features craft beer and a wine list for those who want to linger a little longer. Local beers include Table Beer, London Lager and London Pilsner. If you’re into shakes, we’d recommend the chocolate milkshake (a personal fave) but other flavours include caramel and peanut butter, one we’ll be back to try another time!

The menu includes the signature ShackBurger, SmokeShack and Shack-cago Dog. All of the burgers are made with 100% Aberdeen Angus beef, and the menu includes free-range Wiltshire cure smoked bacon, and Cumberland-style sausage handmade at Jimmy’s Farm in Suffolk. Eating a Shake Shack burger doesn’t mean you have to worry about where the meat is coming from! The ShackBurger (a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce) is an example of a classic fast food burger done well.

The interior is large, there’s an upstairs area, and seating is a mix of long benches and tables so there’s a good chance you’ll manage to bag yourself a spot. But with Leicester Square on its doorstep, we imagine it’s going to be a popular choice for tourists and locals alike.
