Swingers West End

Swingers West End

Swingers, the crazy golf specialists, have come to the West End! The new venue is located just off Oxford Street but aims to transport you back to the roots of crazy golf, the British seaside. The new venue is huge and includes; two (yes two!) nine-hole crazy golf courses, four cocktail bars, four street food vendors and, one for Insta, a 3D photo podium, all contained under one roof. After all, the British seaside may be great, but the weather isn’t always on board!

We tried out the Big Wheel course, which apparently is the easier of the two and to go round nine holes takes about half an hour depending how busy it is and how quick you are. There is a max of 6 shots per hole though so you can’t just go on putting forever! The course itself is really fun, a good mix of challenging and achievable and the best bit? There’s a special course-side bar which offers drinks at a discounted rate! We can vouch for the fact that you may not be as good on hole nine as you were on hole one …

Once you’ve worked up an appetite with all that golfing, the food on offer at Swingers is great. You can choose from Breddos Tacos, Patty & Bun and Made of Dough, and those of you with a sweet tooth can finish off with some Hackney Gelato. We had the fish tacos from Breddos (our fave!), just the right amount of spice and flavour with the meaty fish, and a cheeseburger from Patty & Bun which is always a winner.

The drinks menu is huge here too and includes a good wine selection, beer and cocktails – the Espresso Martini is a good one – and because of the number of bars it makes it much easier to get a drink! We’d particularly recommend the Grand Hotel Bar, which is basically a full freestanding bar within the space. If you can grab yourself a table in there you could very easily while away an evening. We’ll be back to try out the Helter Skelter course …
