Free Ben & Jerry’s at One Sweet Social

Tunes, spoons & community unity! Scoop your tickets to Ben & Jerry’s music and ice cream social.

Ben & Jerry’s has teamed up with civil rights, anti-racism charity HOPE not hate and its Lewisham More In Common group, to whip up a music event with a sweet centre this month! One Sweet Social aims to bring the community together and celebrate everything that unites us, with the help of tantalising tastes and tunes.

Hosted at Wunderlust on Thursday 20th October, One Sweet Social will feature music from Mercury prize winner Speech Debelle and actor and musician Josh Whitehouse, plus DJ sets from Mi-Soul radio’s Ross Allen, South London’s Twinkat Soul and Balamii Radio’s Rude Not To.

Free Fairtrade ice cream will be a-flowing (music to those taste buds), and it will be whipped into never-tasted-before combinations. In between scoops and tracks, guests can speak to a host of community groups, all working hard to create inclusion and celebrate diversity in Lewisham. They’ll be able to hop on Wunderlust’s iconic red bus to find out more about how to get involved with their local group.

The event is the latest instalment in Ben & Jerry’s One Sweet World campaign, launched to bring people together and create a positive outlook within our communities at a time of increasing division.

To scoop up your tickets, head to benjerry.co.uk/onesweetsocial. The first batch of tickets goes on sale on Thursday 6th October, with new batches released every Thursday at 9am on the website. It’s fastest-finger-first, so keep an eye out! Tickets cost £3 with proceeds going to support HOPE not hate’s charitable work.
