50% off at Bird, Islington

BIRD Islington will open its doors on the 7th of October with 50% off during their soft launch!

A world away from the chicken shops commonly seen on the British high street, BIRD’s focus on quality, freshness and provenance has elevated fried chicken in London since its opening on Kingsland Road last year.

Respectfully restoring a beautiful abandoned corner pub, the unique Islington venue will see BIRD’s ‘naughty but nice’ ethos continue through its food & drink offering as well as it’s fresh and thoughtful approach to design, a combination which has made it so popular with East Londoners.

With a new menu tailored around its trademark free-range – and gluten-free – fried chicken and house-made sauces, there will be a strong focus on fried chicken burgers with several new additions, including:

The Gee Gee – a Korean inspired burger made with crispy fried chicken, sweet & spicy gochujang glaze and house-made kimchi slaw
The Nashville Hot – fried chicken coated with extra hot cayenne glaze, melted American cheese, house kewpie mayo and pickles
The West Coast – a nod to California with crispy fried chicken, fresh guacamole and pickled jalapenos

Firm favorites from Shoreditch such as crispy glazed wings and chicken, the ever-popular Original Waffle Burger and sides like the jalapeno corn pudding, will round out the menu.

BIRD’s famous Doughnut Hatch will also be making an appearance in Islington, offering fresh risen glazed doughnuts made daily in-house, with rotating flavors such as peanut butter glaze or Oreo crunch. Diners can grab doughnuts to take away from the Hatch all day (with £1 coffee), or sit down inside to enjoy from the dessert menu as the popular ice cream doughnut sandwich. The Doughnut Hatch will also double as a takeaway window for BIRD during busy football match days.

To wash it all down, BIRD has partnered with Camden Town Brewery to offer a selection of draft beers that complement the restaurant’s extensive selection of craft cans and bottles. Those after something a bit stronger can enjoy BIRD classics such as the Dirtybird or Passionfruit Margarita, and new cocktails including the Watermelon Soju, made with the popular Korean spirit. BIRD Islington will officially open on the 8th of October at 81 Holloway Road N7 8LT.

Grab your 50% off during their soft-launch from the 1st October to 7th of October.

(BIRD Camden will open in November with more information on the site released closer to the date, woo!)
