The Cocktail Trading Company Development Bar & Table is a new bar launching in mid-January on Great Marlborough Street, Oxford Circus. Offering honestly-priced yet highly innovative, exciting and expertly made cocktails, The CTC Development Bar & Table will provide Londoners with a fun, laid-back and unpretentious environment in which to enjoy quality cocktails in Central London. Sounds like a breath of fresh air!
The CTC Development Bar & Table will serve a constantly changing menu of experience-led cocktails alongside trial dishes from upstairs’ brasserie. An ongoing experiment, the cocktails served will be fun, unique and pioneering. With the freedom and skill to trial out new concepts, collaborations, flavours and techniques, the CTC Development Bar & Table will be a creative hub for both consumers and industry insiders to sample fresh and exciting creations at tastings, master-classes and cocktail events.
Alongside the alcoholic creations, The CTC Development Bar & Table will be launching with a menu of quality, non-alcoholic cocktails, perfect for Dry January! Their “Faux Cocktails” will use fresh seasonal ingredients as opposed to the usual sickly grenadine based mocktails, offering non-drinkers a high-quality product which for once is not an afterthought.
Situated in the basement below Central & Co, an all-day Brasserie and Bar, the design has combined an eclectic mix of classic Victoria ‘gin palace’ spliced up with elements of vintage and industrial London. Expect carved wood and copper bar surroundings, classic green and oxblood tube tiles and cast iron and marble tables mixed in with raw brickwork and classic pub fixtures. With street art exhibitions from young artists on display and a unique collection of cocktail memorabilia and paraphernalia alongside vintage upholstered chesterfields, the overall atmosphere matches the insides of its creator’s brains – inventive, cocktail obsessed and always changing. Music wise you can expect everything from old school hip-hop and 70’s & 80’s funk, to the occasional touch of cheese.
