We are super pleased for those boys at Pizza Pilgrims – they’ve only gone and opened ANOTHER banging restaurant, this time in Covent Garden!
We first fell in love with them back when they collaborated with Forza Win – let me tell you, nothing tastes as good as eating Neapolitan pizza on a roof in East London – Mossy was wrong.
Expect a laid back vibe, perfect for a quick pitstop mid-shop or take over the whole of downstairs with a gang of mates. Expect their ever popular Nduja pizza (spicy Calabrian pork sausage) as well as veggie favourite Aubergine Parmigiana and a changing Guest Pizza – when we visited it was the delicious Fiorentina with a Bianca base, creamed spinach & egg yolk. You can even have pizza for dessert here, with the ever tempting Nutella and salted ricotta pizza ring.
The pizzas themselves are all washed down with a selection of British and Italian craft beers, the 1000ml carafe is perfect for a group.
Not only that, to celebrate the start of the UEFA Euro Cup 2016 TODAY, Pizza Pilgrims are hosting their very own swap shop straight out of the 90s.
Back by popular demand after a successful run out at the 2014 World Cup, each pizzeria will have an official Panini sticker book on site displaying a different team each week (starting with England, of course, on Friday 10th June). Bring them a sticker they don’t have from that team – and get a pizza on the house.
On top this, for the true “Collectors” out there, each day between 3-5pm people can meet in the pizzerias to swap stickers from their huge collection, just like the good old days before Netflix and PS4.
Everyday the boys will be announcing their missing stickers via social media – so keep an eye out to claim your free pizza.
Come on England (and Italy…)!
Thom and James Elliot, Founders of Pizza Pilgrims said “We have a worryingly deep seated love for Panini stickers – so this felt like an obvious move to us! Together we are stronger when it comes to sticker collecting…”
