Calling all champagne lovers, novices, ravers and revellers, join Moët & Chandon at “NOW or Neverland” on Moët Party Day.
On 11th June the brand is throwing its first ever ‘Moët Party Day’ – on that day in 1967, the celebratory champagne spray was born at the 24-hour Le Mans race in France. Winner Dan Gurney did something unexpected when he was handed a Jeroboam bottle of Moët & Chandon on the podium: he sprayed champagne over the crowd!
And just like that, a joyous new tradition was born. Thanks Dan!
Nearly 50 years on and this liberating spirit of spontaneity and splendour will be marked by Moët as it puts on a string of global parties in cities including Paris, Hong Kong, Mexico City and of course London. In its first ever Party Day, Moët will bring its unique character to life in one rare and fantastic night to remember.
Taking place at Victoria House in Bloomsbury, London, the hero NOW or Neverland party is the pièce de résistance in a day that boasts three other major parties hosted in Brighton, Glasgow and Leeds. A further 150 impulsive bottle openings are set to take place across bars and restaurants around the UK, with Moet Ice Impérial, one of the latest additions to its portfolio of Champagne designed to drink over Ice, being sampled across 60 independent specialists and wine shops across the UK on the same day. We recommend this with plenty of mint and cucumber to cut through the sweetness – Plateau make a great one!
Ranging over an entire building, guests can expect an immersive, fantastical night of hedonism as they step through the door and plunge into “NOW or Neverland”. Revellers will be surprised as they roam and are led from room to room, with a touch of the unexpected and all with the flair of Moët’s irresistible decadence.
The party will see live sets from acclaimed DJs Raleigh Ritchie, Becky Tong and Blonde Ambition, plus a more intimate, underground performance hidden within – only unlocked by the most daring partygoers.
As the night unfolds, forget the past and future, liberate yourself in living for the moment, immersed in the ‘now’. With a bottle of its champagne opened every second around the globe, every second is an experience, and every experience is a #MoëtMoment to live now, so join the party and make your own moment in history.
In a weekend of major celebrations, Moët & Chandon, as Royal Warrant Holders, will also be raising a toast to the Queen on 11th June, her 90th birthday weekend, with the very same champagne that’s supplied to her household!
Tickets to ‘Now or Neverland’ will available to purchase from www.moet.com and Eventbrite for £60 each – including a Moët Mini Brut Impérial.
There is the option to upgrade to a range of champagne packages ranging from £500 to £900 for larger groups if you’re inner racing car driver takes over.
