The Ivy group seem to be taking over the world and yesterday saw the launch of their latest location – The Ivy Tower Bridge.
Located slap bang on the River Thames, with incredible views of Tower Bridge, it’s their largest site to date, yet retained a warm cosy feel. Split across two floors there were lots of cosy nooks that we wanted to explore, but to really make the most of the views you’ll want to bag a table on the Parisian-style heated terrace.
One of the first through the door, we started the day with mimosa’s, elaborately decorated green juices and strong coffee. The breakfast menu features all the classics and a few newbies. We loved the chopped avocado on brown seeded bread, which was topped with roasted tomatoes and finished with a drizzle of sesame sauce. For something lighter, the yoghurt plate was beautiful and topped with seasonal berries, that all important Manuka honey and health-boosting bee pollen. But don’t worry – you can still get your avo on toast. Here it’s spruced up with a sprinkling of jewel like pomegranate seeds.
With its riverside location the most pimping way to arrive is obviously by boat. We were treated to a 20 minute champagne cruise from Savoy Pier, by the lovely Silver Fleet team. Now, we’ve been on a few Thames boats in our time but none that were so blimmin’ beautiful. Forget your boozy, tacky parties – this was next level. There’s different size boats available for private hire and we’d highly recommend checking them out if you’re arranging a work do or perhaps thinking of somewhere to get hitched? It was heads and shoulders above any others we’ve tried out for size. And like us, they are ALL about the food, regularly working with Ollie Dabbous and other Michelin star chefs, so stay tuned for some very exciting events which are in the pipeline!
