M&S have thought of EVERYTHING this summer. Not only can you buy the gorgeous wicker basket, complete with plates, cutlery and even mini salt & pepper shaker – but you can fill it up with them too!
Their med-inspired range is pretty impressive with the King Prawn & Smoked Paprika Mayo Charcoal Roll a standout option for lunch on the go. Their chorizo crisps are our FAVOURITE snack this summer and they’ve even got the refreshments covered – pick up a mini bottle of their Aperitivo Fizz & a straw and you’re good to go!

Les Pique-niques from PAUL
Priced at £20 to serve two or £38 for four, each individual picnic is made to order and contains an array of authentic French favourites. Simply choose your PAUL sandwich, quiche or salad, a bag of PAUL hand-cooked crisps, a slice of tart or a large macaron, plus a soft drink such as cherry lemonade and peach iced tea, and receive a FREE ‘Sac á Pique-nique’ – a smart and reusable cool bag that also includes a disposable checkered paper tablecloth to adopt the ultimate ‘laissez-faire’ approach on a summer’s day.
German Gymnasium and Wines of Germany launch the Berlin picnic
Throughout the summer, German Gymnasium is channelling Berlin cool with a range of contemporary picnic hampers created in partnership with Wines of Germany. Londoners can make like a Berliner and enjoy the hampers to go, or indulge on the restaurant’s own terrace. With three varieties to choose from, each has been designed to highlight a different German wine, including Sekt – Germany’s answer to Prosecco. Each picnic is served in a modern steel hamper and comprise an assortment of German delicacies including Bavarian Giga rolls with fillings such as Black Forest ham with Obatzda, a Bavarian cheese delicacy, and cornichons.
Picnics in Canary Wharf from Tom’s Kitchen Deli
Tom’s Kitchen Canary Wharf Deli are offering a range of bespoke picnics, perfect for the summer. Picnics are designed for either two or four people, and include fresh juices, a range of homemade sandwiches or baguettes, crisps or popcorn, and Tom’s Kitchen Deli flapjacks or brownies. Prices start at £25 for two or £45 for four, and Prosecco or Champagne can also be added (extra £28/£48). To order, call 020 3011 1555, but be aware that the deli requires at least 24 hours’ notice before collection time.
