When Firedog launched we were blown away by their incredible breakfast mezze – going so far as to say it might be one of the best brunch experiences in town! So we are delighted to announce that they’ve opened up the basement and are welcoming you guys back for dinner – hurrah! Carrying on the modern Turkish vibes, the new menu focuses on grilled meats and more mezze! Hold us BACK!
We started with a few small plates to share – the chargrilled octopus is a MUST order. Served on a creamy, smoky corn puree, the tender meat is perfectly cooked and totally delicious.
There’s rich dips and fresh veg, mix and match to your hearts content. We were quite partial to the feta & yoghurt with chargrilled asparagus.
Carnivores rejoice – this is a meat lovers para, para, paradise. Not normally one to order chicken (bit, vanilla isn’t it?) these clever kids cook it with preserved lemon and spring onions for a gorgeous injection of fresh flavours. It’s really juicy, coming straight from the grill, still on the bone. Lamb saddle is delicately sliced for you, served with harissa – you’ll want a side to go with both.
Leave a little space because, drumroll please…. TAHINI ICE CREAM. Yes, it’s just as delicious as it sounds (oh – I’ve just been informed it doesn’t sound delicious at all, but trust us, it is).
No evening is complete without a cheeky little nightcap – try their take on an espresso martini (the Tarkan-Kan, made with rum & a pistachio lollipop) or the No Smoke without Fire which arrives, you’ve guessed it – on fire, so you can toast your own marshmallow. Genius.
Open seven days a week; the all-day menu is served Monday to Saturday from 11am –12.00am, Sunday 11am-11pm. Weekend Brunch with bottomless options available Sat + Sun. reservations can be made.
