Throughout the month of August, restaurants all over town are taking part in the government’s ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme. For a definitive list of who’s taking part, you can pop your postcode in the gov.uk website.

Camino extending it’s EOTHO offer

Camino, one of London’s best-loved Spanish tapas bars and restaurants will continue its Eat Out to Help Out offer throughout September. Furthermore, it will now be available on Thursdays too – £10 off the a la carte menu (food only) for lunch and dinner, Monday to Thursday at Bankside, Shoreditch and King’s Cross. Camino Monument will reopen on Monday, 7th September and also take part.

THE perfect neighbourhood restaurant – Top Cuvée are sharing the love by applying 25% off food on Wednesdays this September. Expect seasonal, simple dishes and banging natural wines.

Smith & Wollensky reopen with 20% off

Reopening on Tuesday 1st September, Smith & Wollensky are welcoming guests back with 20% off the a la carte menu from 12pm – 4.30pm for the whole of September (excluding their USDA steaks).

Summer Dining at OXO

Available at Knightsbridge, Edinburgh and Leeds as well as the iconic OXO Tower (which is always a treat!), the much-loved Summer Dining menu has returned to Harvey Nichols. This time however, thanks to the government scheme, from Monday to Wednesday, you’ll be able to get your hands on three courses and a complimentary cocktail for as little as £15! The rest of the time it will cost £25, which considering it contains the likes of  salmon tartar and guinea fowl – feels like a great deal to us. Over at the OXO, menus differ slightly, head to their website to find out more. You better get your skates on if you want to nab a table, this offer is only on until the end of September.

Dishoom Uncapped 50% Off

Although many restaurants are taking part in the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme, Dishoom is going one better and extending the offer beyond the £10 cap. Instead, you’ll be able to enjoy a very generous 50% off all food and soft drinks Monday – Wednesday throughout August. How’s that for a welcome back? So that means a breakfast of spicy scrambled eggs and bottomless chai could be yours for a little over £5. Their iconic house black daal, roti and a couple of lamb chops will come in at under a tenner. And to make it even sweeter, bookings can now be made for groups of up to six people at any time of day so no queuing up outside. Your discount will be automatically applied to the bill – no need to do anything. Hurrah!

Hawksmoor Steak & Chips for £10

Hawksmoor has come up with a very tempting new menu to get us back through the door. What they’re calling ‘The Best Steak & Chips in Britain’ for just £10. And who are we to argue? They’ll be serving up 300g of 35-day dry-aged rump steak with a generous portion of chips and a sauce of your choice (which at this point would cost you £30 already) but they’ve reduced it to £20. So with Rishi’s offer, you’ll pay just £10. Furthermore, Hawksmoor is continuing with £5 corkage every Monday, so that means you can enjoy a bottle of wine from home & enjoy the Best Steak & Chips in Britain for £15?!

Available Monday to Wednesday, 3rd-31st August, at all Hawksmoor restaurants that are open. Be quick, you’ll be lucky to get a table!

SMOKESTAK 4 for £10 Menu

Barbecue joint Smokestak is taking advantage of the government’s ‘Eat Out To Help Out’ scheme by offering a nifty new menu which will set you back just £10 Monday through to Wednesday.

Including a starter, meaty main, side and gelato, the ‘4for10’ August menu features a choice of charred corn salsa; crispy pigtails or smoked cods roe to start. For mains there are signature smoked meats (with or without the bun) of beef brisket; native breed pulled pork or chilli and fennel sausage. On the side, barbecue classics include skin-on chips with aioli; ginger and chilli slaw or smoked pit beans and to finish with something sweet, there is Happy Endings malt soft serve; and salted caramel or mango sorbet from Hackney Gelato, all served in a waffle cone.
Walk-in guests can grab a table on the terrace if you wish to dine alfresco, while the capacity of the dining room has been reduced by 30% to allow for one-metre social distancing in line with government guidelines. SMOKESTAK’s ‘4for10’ menu is available Monday to Wednesday, 3rd-31st August.

Murano £25 Set Lunch

Although not new in itself, Murano’s set lunch has had a seasonal update and what better time to get your hands on Angela Hartnett’s Michelin star cuisine then whilst it’ll only set you back £25. New dishes include swiss chard & ricotta ravioli (divine!) and buttermilk pannacotta with English strawberries and elderflower for dessert. Normally this costs £35 for three courses but book a table Monday – Wednesday throughout August and it will only cost you £25.

Goodmans £12 steak and frites

Couldn’t get a table at Hawksmoor? No worries, Goodman is also offering a fabulously thrifty steak menu that will set you back just £12 across their three London locations –  Mayfair, City and Canary Wharf. The brand-new lunchtime menu includes a 250g New York Sirloin with hand-cut chips and peppercorn sauce.

Manteca £10 Menu

Throughout the month of August (Monday to Wednesday), Manteca, the Italian inspired restaurant from Chris Leach focussing on nose-to-tail cooking, hand-rolled pasta and cuts to share will be taking part in the government initiative “eat out to help out” to revive the restaurant sector and encourage have come up with a special £10 menu. You’ll tuck into house-made focaccia, any 2 plates of pasta on the menu including tonnarelli, brown crab cacio e pepe; rigatoni with spicy pig’s ragu; sweetcorn ravioli with girolles and pappardelle, ox cheek ragu; wholewheat spaghetti with clams, pine nuts and datterini tomatoes.  To finish choose from white miso, hazelnut or pistachio gelato or Amalfi lemon or mango sorbet. The full a la carte menu will run alongside this and the scheme is applicable to the entire menu and non-alcoholic drinks.
