Columbia Bar & Terrace at DoubleTree by Hilton London Docklands Riverside (longest name, ever!) have launched a special ‘Try Columbia’ BBQ menu specially for the duration of the Rugby World Cup (18 September – 31 October).
Filled with champion-worthy options direct from the grill, for £9.95 visitors will enjoy a meaty main perfectly paired with a beer to complement the dish.
As you watch all of the action unfold on the large screens inside, the BBQ will be grilling to-order on the Thameside Terrace, with options including the Haka Slider (beef burger with maple glazed bacon and strong cheddar) paired with Heineken, The Robshaw Dog (cumberland sausage, crispy onion, mustard and tomato chutney) paired with Becks and The Fly Half spicy chicken wings, sweet BBQ glaze with crushed peanuts) paired with Sol.
With the private use of a river cruise from the high-rise jungle of Canary Wharf, Columbia is a really gorgeous space to sit back and soak up all the rugby revelry. Come rain or shine, the heated terrace offers stunning views of the city and will provide the perfect spot for after-match pints, whether celebrating a win or drowning your sorrows.
Whether ruggers is your thing or not, we totally recommend jumping on board – you really feel like you’re escaping the city – so make the most of that terrace while the sun is still shining! Our top picks from the normal menu would be the curried cod risotto and EVERY dessert on the menu. Seriously, we tried them all.
