On Thursday 21st May, some of London’s finest and most exciting chefs will join together under one roof, at Street Feast in Dalston Yard, to cook up Michelin-starred quality dishes street-food style at the third annual Auction Against Hunger in aid of Action Against Hunger.

Cooking on the night

These incredible chefs will be joined by Street Feast favourites: Yum BunBreddos TacosSmokestakRola WolaBleecker St. Burger and B.O.B.’s Lobster to round out the biggest indoor street food party of the year.

Our hosts

Action Against Hunger will host the night in collaboration with Ben Maschler, the brainchild of the project, son of restaurant critic Fay Maschler and co-owner of Islington’s Draper’s Arms, together with chef and cookery writer Gizzi Erskine and Jonathan Downey of Street Feast. Tickets for this year’s Auction Against Hunger cost only £55 and will include entry to the event, a selection of dishes from our fantastic chefs and Street Feast stalls, Champagne Taittinger, Jose Cuervo pint-sized cocktails from Rotary Bar, beer, wine and full range of spirits throughout the night.

The Auction

Guests will also have the chance to bid on the evening’s private live and silent auctions offering ‘money-can’t-buy’ experiences from the restaurant world, including:

  • a fishing trip with Tom Parker-Bowles and Mitch Tonks followed by a long lunch at The Seahorse restaurant;
  • the River Café to cook dinner in your house;
  • and the chance to dine out with Sir Terry Wogan.

London foodie website Hot Dinners will be supporting the event with a week-long online auction to help raise crucial funds for malnourished children across the world. Simply visit www.hotdinners.com/auctionagainsthunger noon on Thursday 14th May to place your bid.

I feel very privileged to have worked in the restaurant industry. We are so lucky to be able to afford to choose what we eat and drink in this country and a wonderful business, full of fantastic people has built up around this fact. Ultimately, what drives me, is the fact that child malnutrition is a solvable problem. I do not feel that we are pouring money in to a black hole – I feel that we are working towards an end. An end that will see the end of child hunger around the world.”
