WARNING – CONTAINS BURGER PORN.

Twenty Something London launches Burger Fest – testing London’s Top 10 Burgers 2015.

Building on the success of Burger Fest 2014, Twenty Something London has sunk its teeth into a bigger, better and beefier event for 2015, partnering with Red Stripe and The Paperworks to bring the city’s burger-mad the chance to consume an unacceptable amount of the capital’s best burger, all under one roof.

Last year’s event sold out in a matter of days so we are giving you the heads up NOW.

Everyone in London has their favourite burger (for the record it’s a toss up between Motherflipper, Bleecker St, Patty & Bun or Stokey Bears for us!).

The TSL team, set to release their new site and app in a few weeks’ time, took it upon themselves to try as many of those as possible in pursuit of the most credible Top 10 Burger list in town. In the space of four weeks, 59 miles were travelled, 29,459 calories consumed and several bouts of meat-sweats endured as the dedicated (it’s a hard life aye) panel tasted 75 of their readers submissions. Each burger was then strictly evaluated according to ‘patty’, ‘bun’, ‘structure’, ‘toppings’ and ‘wow factor’. These guys were serious.

WildGameCo Veni Moo

The list has received quite a shake-up from last year with old favourites Mother Flipper, Patty & Bun, Tommi’s, Hawksmoor and even last year’s number one, Flat Iron, falling off the edge. The crop of newcomers includes Spitalfields smokehouse Hotbox, Manhattan-inspired street food stall Bleecker St, pub-punter favourite Lucky Chip, Portobello Road’s hidden Jamaican gem Boom Burger and the third in Burger Bear Tom’s disco dens, Stokey Bears.

Special mention goes to Wild Game Co. whose truly glorious Veni Moo burger took the Scottish game specialists from last year’s 7th place to this year’s top spot. With a beef patty, venison patty and bresaola (cured fillet of beef) topped with Béarnaise sauce and onion jam in a brioche bun, the winning burger is a downright privilege to eat.

Each burger on the list is a true work of art in its individuality, from the elegant form and flavours of Bleecker St’s bacon cheese to Dip n Flip’s gloriously gluttonous Green Chilli Cheese, heavily laden and dipped in French gravy.

For just £35, 800 of you hungry little monkeys will get to choose FIVE sliders from this lot PLUS a dessert by Lickalix, with a DJ set, and a bar serving everything from craft beer to cocktails. Not only that, the first 100 through the door of each sitting will get a free Red Stripe.

Just one rule – come hungry.
