Following on from the Smithfield venue, bartenders, and friends, Andy Mil, Olly Brading and Elliot Ball have opened their newest bar smack bang in the middle of Shoreditch.The bar has a cosy feel with low lighting and intimate seating, paired with interesting, and sometimes unusual, decor! The cocktail menu is extensive with a drink for every taste. In fact they all sound so good, it took us much, much longer to choose our cocktail than to drink it!
Their menu (a beautifully-illustrated booklet that must often go “missing”!) is a mix of inventive flavours and interesting presentation. Take the ‘Royal-Mail-aged Air Mail’ – a mix of rum, lime, honey and sparkling wine served in a medicinal bottle, inside an envelope.
They also offer twists on classic cocktails such as the ‘Business Brace’ a mix of sugar, bitters, Hennessey cognac and Veuve demi-sec champagne and the ‘Bee’s Knees’, gin, lemon and honey, garnished with a sprig of thyme.
