New ‘seasonal’ pizzeria, Manifesto arrives on Northcote Road, Clapham this August, and to celebrate there will be a five day soft launch with 50% off food and drink from August 27th – 31st – a perfect treat for bank holiday weekend.
The restaurant will take a no frills approach to celebrating exceptional ingredient provenance with a pizza menu that evolves through the seasons. The Manifesto menu will be pointedly short, just six pizzas (like tomato, olive and anchovy, and ricotta, rocket and spicy salami) plus one “Gourmet Special” each week. You won’t mind any regular mozzarella here, instead fresh fior di latte is sourced from Puglia, produced entirely from local milk. Despite the emphasis on premium ingredients, pizzas start at just £6 and are made using the Biga-style technique of dough production, which takes 48 hours of proving. So a pretty good deal all the time, but a total steal during soft launch.
There’ll be no desserts offers, and the wine list will have just two reds, two whites and one prosecco. So perfect if you’re suffering from decision fatigue.
