Mister Lasagna

We don’t know ANYONE that doesn’t love lasagne, but you can never make it quite like yo mama does. Mister Lasagna have thankfully got it covered and is here to satisfy your lasagna cravings.

The small family owned restaurant opened on Rupert St in Soho and they know lasagna. This isn’t just any lasagna, but their Italian grandmother’s recipe. There are no burnt ends or lack of sauce in sight, just moist and deliciously creamy lasagne. And with 21 different options, you’re sure to find one you love. We tried almost every kind and were blown away by the richness of the creamy béchamel based ones with added extras such as truffles, courgette, bacon or smoked salmon and the classic Neapolitan one transported us to Italy. We were probably the only non-Italians there, which seems like a good sign!

Mister Lasagna will be serving authentic Italian ‘fast food’ every day of the week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On top of choosing from one of their various lasagna options, you will be able to choose from five sauces to top it all off: Bolognese, Béchamel, Mushroom, Four Cheese or Tomato.

If you are in the area for breakfast, you can pop in from 7am for some fresh Italian coffee, delicious Italian tarts and pastries. At lunch and dinner time, you can wash down all that cheesy goodness with some lovely Italian wines, beers and liqueurs. If you fancy something sweet to end things off, try their tiramisu, caramel panna cotta or white chocolate soufflé, you will be glad you did! If you just don’t have time to sit down, you can also grab your food to take away, be warned though, you’ll have very jealous colleagues!

Authentic Italian produce such as pasta, sauces and a selection of Italian liqueurs like limoncello and melon liqueur are also available to take home.
Mister Lasagna’ founder, Alessandro Limone said: “The demand for Italian food in London is huge and lasagna is one of the most popular dishes. Mister Lasagna will offer traditional Italian cooking just like my grandmother would serve to me when I was a little boy. When you mention lasagna, many people think of the well-known bolognese recipe, but with our 21 varieties we hope to change London’s perception on this classic dish.”

We think Alessandro’s got it nailed, come and check out this Soho newbie as of today.
