It’s a lovely concept – pick your balls, pick your accompanying side and enjoy – the different meatballs are all so tempting too, ranging from Beef + Ricotta to Greek Lamb. But….
Meatballs has now relocated from The Quality Chop House in Clerkenwell to The Balcony in Westfield London, Shepherds Bush. As much as we enjoyed Meatballs at TQCH I fear it was more to do with the location – an old working men’s ‘eating house’ with the original fixtures and floor tiles. The details of the next venture at TQCH look a lot more exciting than Meatballs new location – which is a shame.
None the less, the food we had was great as was the service – maybe a little too pricey for what you get for a lunchtime affair but the character of the place and the staff made up for those short comings. I am dubious the new location will match said character – but maybe they can now offer a bit more ball for your buck or at least make it cheaper? I won’t know until I’m passing through Westfield and need an alternative to Prezzo or Nando’s. Like I said, shame.
