Mac & Wild, Devonshire Square Brunch

What better way to start the weekend than with a bottomless brunch? Mac & Wild are getting in on the action with their new Scottish version at Devonshire Square….

Choose from either unlimited bucks fizz or ‘Buckie Royal’ – buckfast and prosecco – for £18 and knock back as many as you can in two hours.

We started with some haggis pops – essentially rich haggis croquettes with a dipping sauce – while we perused the hearty menu.

They use some of our favourite producers, including Inverawe who do the BEST smoked salmon. Here it’s served with golden scrambled eggs, toast and a good dollop of béarnaise.

Whilst you’ll find all the classics, (Full Scottish, crushed avocado, etc) we highly recommend going for something a little different. The smoked haddock with tattie scones are served in a rich mustard and onion sauce and topped with a poached egg, and we’ll definitely be returning for the insane candied bacon toastie with bone marrow gravy.

Available every Saturday between 11am – 4pm, why not make a day of it and book out the ‘Gun Room’. Decked out in pine trees with a scent of the great outdoors, guests can practice their shot with a state-of-the-art Marksman virtual shooting system, using real shotguns and realistic targets, whilst the rest of the team relax, play dress up in the tweed attire and enjoy whisky and Scottish cocktails served by the Mac & Wild loading lads and lassies.

Just make sure you go easy on those Buckie Royals…….
