Doughnut Time is launching its third store on Saturday 27th January in Notting Hill and to celebrate, the team is offering lucky customers two hours of free doughnuts, including an exclusive Notting Hill doughnut from 12:00-2:00pm on the opening day.
The new shop sits next door to the famous Notting Hill Bookshop, where Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant’s characters first met in one of the most loved British rom-coms of all time, Notting Hill.
Inspired by one of the film’s most popular scenes, the last brownie contest, Doughnut Time’s bakers have joined forces with Great British Bake Off 2017 Finalist, Steven Carter-Bailey, to create a limited-edition brownie-packed doughnut names after Julia Robert’s loveable character, “Anna Scott”.
Bringing together Doughnut Time’s quirky creations and Steven aka “Sponge Cake Square Tin’s” expert baking skills, the creation is made up of a dark chocolate glaze with milk chocolate drizzle and curls, and topped with Steven’s take on “the last brownie”, which features a “whoopsie” daisy flower.
Whilst Anna Scott almost wins the brownie for having “the saddest act” at the dinner party, lucky Londoners won’t need to win a contest to get their hands on this chocolate delight – just turn up between 12-2pm on Saturday 27th to get your reward!
Doughnut Time’s Founder, Damian Griffiths said: “Following our successful openings in Central and East London, we can’t believe it’s already time to hit West London! So far our doughnuts have conquered Londoners’ hearts, and we’re looking forward to sprinkling a bit of fun on this iconic area of Notting Hill.”
The future is looking sweet for Doughnut Time, with plans to open a Doughnut Academy above its Shaftesbury Avenue store, giving customers the chance to showcase their artistic and culinary skills as they decorate and customize their own doughnut creations. And the doughnut expansion continues as Doughnut Time is set to open new kiosks in London City Airport and other London locations in 2018.
Doughnut Time Notting Hill will open on Saturday 27th January on 15 Blenheim Crescent and is giving away two hours of free doughnuts from 12:00-2:00PM.
