Next time you see a break in the clouds, we suggest making a beeline for the newly opened Coppa Club to bask on the huge riverside terrace, cocktail firmly in hand.
Coppa Club have tried to recreate a members club atmosphere, but without the fee, the dress code or the rules, so you get to enjoy incredible views of Tower Bridge & The Shard, with none of the snobbery you might expect.
Eat, drink, meet, work, or just hang out, you can’t out stay your welcome at Coppa Club.
The menu features a great selection of snacks and sharing plates (ideal cocktail accompanying food) as well as more substantial mains.
Kick things off with a summery cocktail – we loved the Elderflower & Passion Fruit Spritz which was heavy on the passion fruit and topped up with Prosecco. Crispy fried truffled Gnocchi is the perfect little snack while you peruse the rest of the menu.
With a large menu, it’s tricky choosing which way to go but we settled on crispy fried squid and fresh crab bruschetta with summery mint, chilli and lemon.
Flash steak with salty shoestring fries was a bargain at just £10.95 with a pleasing, tender consistency. If you’re looking for something lighter (seafood is a speciality here) a whole roasted sea bream is stuffed with courgette ribbons and rosemary with a shaved fennel salad on the side.
The dessert menu featured all of our favourites (flourless chocolate cake, sticky toffee pudding, etc) – making it extremely hard to choose just one. We adored the not-so mini butterscotch pot with salted caramel sauce. A grown up dessert for when you just need a taste of something sweet.
Come for breakfast, stay for dinner.
