Cookhouse Joe is the latest venture from the boys behind Soho Joe’s and brings us Rotisserie Chicken with a Lebanese twist.
Following the same format as its predecessor Cookhouse delivers quality food, generous portions and great prices. We’ll let you into a little secret through – if you’re coming for dinner, bypass the slightly more informal downstairs and head upstairs! You’ll find exposed bricks, cool studio lights, candelabras and a wall of windows letting in all the sounds of Soho. It’s the perfect setting for an after work catch up with friends.
As you would expect, the star of the show is the melt in the mouth chicken which you can buy by the Whole, Half or Quarter (£12, £7 or £4 respectively) and it comes with delicious homemade dips; choose from their homemade Chilli dip, Garlic or Mint and Cucumber. But don’t forget that Lebanese twist – kick things off with Moutabal, which comes with piles of warm flat bread, lamb koftas and falafel (a steal at just £4 a portion)
Just when you think you can’t possibly eat any more you discover mumma’s homemade warm apple pie – no really, their mumma makes it fresh every day. Also worth a mention is the prosecco – a very reasonable £22 – really there’s no excuse not to add a bit of fizz to your evening.
P.s, we spied the lunch menu, it’s an absolute bargain! Just to give you some idea, half a chicken, with dip, chips and a choice of salad for only £6 – why go anywhere else??
