To mark their very first birthday, Portuguese restaurant and bar Casa Do Frango is giving away 365 of their much-loved pastel de natas from 8am-10am on 19th July 2019.
A celebrated addition to London’s growing Portuguese dining scene, Casa Do Frango will recognise a dessert for every day the restaurant has been open as a thank you to you lovely Londoners for your support over the past year. A homage to Portugal’s most famous tart, the restaurant will be serving their own much-loved raspberry and cinnamon flavoured versions, made freshly in-house.
Bringing Algarvian cooking to London in July 2018, Casa do Frango opened to high acclaim, gaining glowing reviews for the “glisteningly succulent chicken” from Michael Deacon (The Telegraph) and from Frankie McCoy (ES Magazine), while Jay Rayner praised “London needs this delightful piri piri chicken joint”.
Specialising in the regional Algarvian-style piri-piri chicken ‘frango’, Casa do Frango is the brainchild of Algarvian-English Marco Mendes, and Jake Kasumov, aiming to bring a slice of the South of Portugal to London. Focused on the wood-fired grill and open kitchen, the restaurant brings the true flavour of Frango com piri piri, with exceptional regional sharing dishes, charcuterie and seafood, along with a dedicated Portuguese drinks list.
The birthday giveaway will begin from 8am on Friday 19th July, first come, first serve, at Casa Do Frango. There will also be further prizes, giveaways and parties throughout the week, with more information set to be announced on @casadofrango_ldn Instagram.
