We’ve been a fan of Barrio North and Central for years, and Barrio East did not disappoint. Tucked between The Shoreditch and Dragon Bar on Shoreditch High Street – it’s hard to miss the new bright green canopies! As we arrived we were mesmerised by the decor.
As the cocktails flowed, the bar staff kept up their energy all night. Table service options, cocktail making en mass, a great buzz in the air. The decor is the same favela-esq craziness that you see in the other bars, and of course, Barrio East would not be complete without its cut-out Caravan!
A great live band played whilst people sampled the cocktails on offer. A personal favourite was the Hawaii’n’Dry – not usually being a fan of grapefruit, I found this sweet and refreshing – and wonderfully pink!
Barrio East is bigger and louder than its predecessors – in every sense. I think the best thing about this bar is this one actually has space to swing yourselves, not just a cat. With areas such as Uptown, Downtown, the beach hut in the ladies loos and a large dance floor, this is an excellent venue for Friday night drinks, birthday parties and celebrations!
