This weekend London will see the 2018 Gelato Festival come to town – two whole days of the best, most authentic (and most delicious!) gelato from across the UK and Italy, in the iconic Covent Garden Piazza.
The flavours are created just for the event, and once you’ve tried them all you can vote for your favourite, crowning the London winner and sending them to the World Masters in 2021 in Florence (yep, it’s a real thing!!), the gelato capital of the world. Expect fruity, creamy, chocolatey, weird and wonderful and everything in between.
There will also be a programme of events running throughout the weekend, including interactive masterclasses where you can learn from the experts by watching them make the gelato from scratch, helping out with the process and then of course, tasting the results! There will also be regular demos for guests to see first-hand how it all comes together.
The festival takes place in Covent Garden Piazza (the east side), from 11am to 7pm on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June.
