Tucked away on Chapel Market, Angel, you’ll find the cutest little restaurant.
And once you meet the owner, you’ll realise why. Thuy is one of those infectiously sweet people that you just can’t help fall in love with and this shines through in her cooking.
Open for just 13 weeks so far, LVK is already changing the face of Vietnamese food in London- bringing the bright, vibrant flavours of the cuisine and making it really accessible and super fun.
We went to check out the Lobster Supperclub, held on the last Sunday of each month. Feeling very lucky to have bagged a ticket (this girl has 16.5k followers on Instagram!), the place had a great buzz about it – forget those Sunday night blues!!
Priced at just £45, the ticket included a welcome cocktail, and four superb courses.
Can we just recap – £45 – and you get a whole LOBSTER. EACH. That is unbelievable value. You’d pay that & more for one lobster course elsewhere.
Thuy enthusiastically introduces each course before you tuck in and we don’t want to spoil the surprise but every course was a dream. Managing to re-invent Vietnamese food in a way that’s exciting and fresh but not intimidating, she even breaks the lobster up for you so you don’t get too messy. (You still get pretty messy, but I reckon that’s a great sign!)
You can opt for an affordable wine pairing with each course – if you’re only going to have one (it is a Sunday after all!) – the Merlot with mystery Course Two (ok, ok, it’s the best Pork Belly we’ve ever eaten!) gets our pick.
Such a special find – don’t save it just for the last Sunday of the month.
If you’re lucky enough to live nearby, LVK has just launched a takeaway service and your first £10 is totally FREE! That’s how confident they are that you’ll love it!
