We are so excited that one of our favourite foodie events opens their doors today – will we see you there?
The stellar line-up of restaurants, chefs and exhibitors coming to Tobacco Dock this weekend means that Taste of London will be bigger and better than ever. Tickets for the festive edition are still available online & on the door!
Following on from the sell-out success of Taste of London in Regent’s Park in June, the winter edition offers all the incredible features you would expect from Taste Festivals, with a more boutique feel, and a festive twist.
Feast on the most wonderful food…
Tastebuds will tingle as the event showcases some of the latest, greatest and most innovative restaurants in London, who will all be serving taster size portions of their incredible dishes. This year’s restaurant line-up is the best to date with Café Spice Namasté, Hix, Kurobuta, Club Gascon, Pont St, Tredwell’s, Tom’s Kitchen, maze Grill, Molé Taco Bar, Ametsa with Arzak Instruction, M and The Truscott Cellar. Make sure you come hungry!
Action Against Hunger will be returning with their 5* Restaurant bringing Dan Doherty, Steve Groves, Vivek Singh, Francesco Mazzei and Sabrina Ghayour as their 5* chefs.
Following an incredible debut at Taste of London in Regent’s Park, The Daily Special will also be appearing at Tobacco Dock for the first time. This exciting pop-up hosts a different London hot spot each day of the event, featuring Snaps + Rye, Shotgun BBQ, John Doe and Paradise Garage.
Finally – no festive event would be complete without something a little sweet. Brand new for 2015 is The Dessert Bar which will feature festive twists on incredible sweet treats from Lily Vanilli, Meringue Girls, Maitre Choux and Chin Chin Labs.
Shiny and new for you to unwrap this year…
The Laurent-Perrier Club House: you don’t need skis to enjoy the winter club house, new for 2015. Enjoy the finest champagnes paired with delicious smoked salmon from Ole Hansen-Lydersen in the sumptuous settings of the brand new Laurent-Perrier Club House.
Fight for the Throne…
Whether you have sworn your allegiance to the House of Lannister or are waiting with bated breath for the Starks to reclaim the North, don’t miss out as HBO comes to Taste Festivals for the first time. For fans of the epic TV hit Game of Thrones®, a giant replica of King’s Landing made entirely out of Gingerbread will be on display. Fans and foodies will even be able to sit upon the Iron Throne itself, while sampling a Winter Wild Beer, a brew inspired by the TV show and created especially by the Wild Beer Co.
Good enough to eat…
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the perfect excuse to indulge in luxurious festive food. Why not step inside the Extra Special Festive Lodge – an enchanting lodge standing at 2 meters high and made entirely of Extra Special ingredients. Hansel and Gretel – eat your heart out.
There is always time for Tea…
Welcome to a wonderful world of tea, where the limits of the leaf are constrained only by your imagination. T2 is all about doing tea a little differently, especially when it comes to Christmas! Visit the T2 Tea Emporium: blend, taste and talk tea with the T2 Tea Mates as they reveal the secrets to mastering the perfect cuppa. Don’t forget to check out T2’s incredible tea library and feast your eyes on all the beautiful Christmas gift packs.

On top of all these brand new features, Taste welcomes back favourites including The AEG Taste Theatre which will host world-class chefs as they divulge their festive tricks and tips. Possibly the greatest pub chef of all time and all-round good guy Tom Kerridge, the incredibly talented Monica Galetti and the extremely gifted chef and restaurateur Marcus Wareing will all be amongst the stellar line up gracing the stage to share their festive tips and tricks.

Join Taste’s campaign to revitalise the winter BBQ – don’t miss exciting cooking demonstrations on The Fire Pit throughout the weekend. From chargrilled deer to Christmas classics, watch favourite chefs bring the BBQ back to life this winter.
More Sir…
Get up close and personal with top chefs, well-known foodies and award-winning restauranteurs at A Question of Taste, a series of intimate Q&A sessions taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Come along to listen and learn, or come prepared with questions of your own, as each session will give visitors the chance to grill the special guests live on stage.
Graffiti and fine dining? Yes please! Thursday and Friday will see some of the UK’s top street artists in action, creating one-off pieces inspired by the capital’s exciting food scene. The specially commissioned artworks will be on display over the weekend for visitors to enjoy.
On Thursday and Friday sessions, DJ Sets from Club de Fromage and Rock The Belles will entertain the after work crowd with further pop up music performances set to take place across the four days of the festival.
When you think Christmas, I am sure the Pogues come to mind, the iconic band will be releasing a Whiskey at Taste of London, be sure to pop by to give it a taste.
Finally – with the biggest Food and Drink Markets to date and brand new Christmas Gift Rooms, the event promises to be a one-stop shop for Christmas shopping.
