We’re big fans of the Japanese/Californian fusion chain so we were delighted to hear they’ve recently opened up another shop in Hampstead with Richmond next on their hitlist. Now there’s more than 130 stores worldwide, with existing shops in Marylebone, South Kensington and Notting Hill.
The slick black boxes look more like a premium chocolate box, but inside we had a feast of all their best bits. Think Philadelphia maki rolls, salmon avocado spring rolls, prawn tempura, spicy tuna, avocado cheese and loads more.
As well as these tasty treats, it’s worth looking out for their seasonal menus and Limited Edition Boxes which they announce twice a year. Past chef collaborations have included Joel Robuchon and Kei Kobayashi whilst creative collabs have involved Kenzo and Kate Moss. Pretty cool right? Everything is made to order with guaranteed freshness and can be ordered for delivery or picked up in store.
Founder Gregory Marciano comments:
“Sushi Shop has long been known for its creativity as a brand. We continually strive to find interesting individuals to work with, bringing our customers exciting new products whilst maintaining high standards for all our sushi. The new sites are the continuation of our ongoing love affair with the English. We are delighted with the warm welcome we’ve received from Londoners over the last few years, and hope the new sites will prove just as popular, with locals and visitors alike.”
