Renowned Burger and Lobster have made their London pop-up debut at Summer Tales. For the very first time they have left the confines of their restaurant to showcase their brand new ‘Baby Burger’, made from Nebraskan Angus Steak using three cuts to produce the perfect juicy burger. They’ll also be serving their famous Lobster Roll. Chilled lobster meat dressed in a Japanese mayo, served in a toasted brioche bun. Bonnie Gull Seafood Shack serves freshly – caught seasonal fish and seafood. At Night Tales, they’ll be serving a favourite in their Exmouth Market restaurant – A fish fillet burger with squid and jalapeño mayo.
Forza Win creates awesome Italian cuisine using seasonal British ingredients. Combining three years of delicious communal banquets Forza Win have taken some of the highlights and created ‘Happy Mealz’, especially for Night Tales. Unlike the commonly known equivalent, these little boxes of joy contain a well sourced and beautifully presented meal of Pollo Fritto, 100 day Botterils chicken, deep fried and served in a sourdough ‘libro’ with creamed salsa verde. Bambini Rosemary fries and a Frangelico milkshake. Pizza Pilgrims have created an Italian football themed pizzeria – with fussball, Italia 90 on the TV, and pizzas named after everyone’s favourite Italian stars from yester-year like The Ravanelli, The Vialli and The Di Canio. It’s a great opportunity to try some more off piste pizza options as well
New kid on the block Walter and Monty are firing up a charcoal grill for their Summer Tales debut – because summer isn’t complete without a barbeque. Coming from a family of butchers, Walter and Monty know all about ‘good meat.’ Enjoy their tenderised cuts of Angus Beef, finished on coals and served with fresh and zingy salads, accompanied by homemade Turkish flat bread and a smacking chimichurri sauce. Or try their Welsh Butterfly Leg of Lamb, marinated for 36 hours in North-African spices, it will send your taste buds nuts. The new LA-inspired health café, Bel Air are serving a selection of their famous summer salads with BBQ’d Spatchcock chicken and or fish with their homemade rose harissa and salsa verde sauces. Rolling into Summer Tales for their debut Nanny Bill’s, serve up a twist on a classic croquette. Discover tasty new combos like Cauliflower Cheese w/Chilli Jam and Pulled Pork & Sweet potato w/avocado creme. If you can’t choose then let luck lead the way and play ‘Croquette Roulette’.
THE MUSIC
Night Tales winter 2014 became something of a music hot spot, with some of the country’s most exciting DJs dropping in to air the groovier side of their record collection. The star studded line ups included Rudimental, Will Saul, Gorgon City, Matt Tolfrey, Seb Chew, Kidnap Kid, Robert James, Luca C, Geddes, Alexis Raphael, Jonny Rock, Maxxi Soundsystem, Clive Henry, Bill Brewster and by inviting respected labels and brands to host, such as Road To Nowhere, Lowlife, You Are We, Kubicle and Black Butter, Night Tales ensured there was always something special behind the decks. Summer Tales aims to raise the bar even further, bringing you 15 weeks of mostly unannounced line-ups, packed with special guests to rival any festival bill. Expect to see the core collective back for more, as well as some very exciting high profile names popping up across the season.
