Is it too early to start saying the C-word? No? Good. This Christmas, Harvey Nichols has teamed up with Visa to transform its Canvas space into an enchanted secret hideaway for customers to enjoy festive films, ice cream cocktails, Nordic nibbles and exclusive Saturday Schools, available from Friday 8th November until Sunday 5th January.
Devoted to all things festive, the Secret Forest takes customers on a journey – starting outside, with the magical Northern Lights glistening across the building’s façade – through a mystical woodland and into a winter scene complete with a never-ending night sky.
Throughout November and December, a special edit of Christmas films will be showing at the Pocket Cinema, situated in the space. Films include all-time classics such as Home Alone and The Muppet Christmas Carol, as well as How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Miracle on 34th Street – a range of nostalgic movies to get you in the festive spirit. Tickets are priced at £20 per adult and £10 per child. The space will also host two wreath-making Saturday Schools with florist Farima Perry.
In keeping with the theme, Harvey Nichols has created a moreish menu inspired by Nordic foodie favourites, including kantarellmacka (mushroom and Gruyère toasties), köttbullar (meatballs) and kanelbullar (cinnamon buns), as well as a range of ice-cream cocktails: Naughty but Nice, Merry Mudslide, The Sweetheart and Red Sky at Night. The Secret Forest Bar will be open from 11am – 11pm, and available to book for food and cocktails before and after film screenings.
