We have cat cafés, a cereal bar, a soon to pop up owl bar and now… a porridge café.
It’s hard not to bundle the Porridge Cafe into the East London gimmick basket along with the cats and cereal but, with a background in British street food, Nik and Elly have hit the ground running to create something endearingly special.
In the same way that the Cat Café experimented in a breeding just the right kind of cat for their café* – Nik and Elly have done their research and made many different incarnations of porridge recipes; resulting in a tidy little menu of sweet and savoury options we think cater for everyone. Our particular faves were their meaty little chorizo number and the seductive white chocolate and cherry concoction.
We were actually pretty content sampling the menu from small cups, so the larger bowl servings that the guys will be selling are sure to fill you up! In fact we’d love to sit and eat all of them again from little cups…. porridge flight anyone?
Oh and they sell great coffee too! Perfect! 🙂
