In celebration of their new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® award for the bar with the most varieties of rum commercially available – Cottons Restaurant and Salon de Rhum in Notting Hill is running a series of free rum masterclasses.
Cottons has teamed up with some of its favourite rum brands to offer rum fans and rum novices alike, a FREE 1.5 hour class where guests will get to smell, taste and learn about individual rums, as well learn how to mix (and drink) the ideal rum cocktail.
Classes already confirmed include a January focus on Angostura (famous for their iconic bitters but becoming increasingly known for their award winning Trinidadian rums); a February focus on Dominican Republic’s Brugal rum which is gaining popularity in the UK; and leading Cuban rum Havana Club featuring in July.
Each class will include an arrival drink, a rum tasting and history of the selected rum, a chance to learn how to make the perfect cocktail with the focus rum (and drink it) as well as a goody bag to take home.
