El Bandito is a new Mexican inspired pop-up bar hidden below The Drunken Monkey on Shoreditch High Street.
Run by business partners John Ennis and Matt Farrell, who already have six bars in Liverpool, El Bandito is their first venture in London. They want to bring their love of tequila and mezcal to the city and are doing so in style – El Bandito features around 50 tequilas and 25 mezcals, including many not available elsewhere in the UK. If you love tequila or mezcal, this is the spot for you!
The drinks menu comprises a selection of delicious cocktails, featuring everything from frozen margaritas to flights of tequila. With a focus on rare and high-quality tequilas and mezcals, El Bandito aims to show drinkers another side to these often-misunderstood spirits!
The TLC no Shrubs is a mix of Calle 23 reposado tequila, peach shrub, lime juice, agave, cactus juice and was so light and refreshing it went down far too easily! Other cocktails include the Roots of Agave – Ocho blanco tequila, carrot juice, agave, lime juice, pineapple foam and Kale Mezcalarita – Illegal mezcal, kale juice, ginger, agave, lime juice.
El Bandito is open until the beginning of June and is found at 222 Shoreditch High Street – you have to go through the Drunken Monkey and downstairs!
