Draft House Camden

One of the Draft House’s newest additions has just opened in Camden and they are serving up a Sunday roast menu just in time for the clocks changing!

The Draft House is rightly known for its beer, with every location boasting a huge selection, both on tap and in the bottles and cans on offer. You can be sure that whatever you decide to eat there will be a beer to match with it!

As winter is approaching, our minds are turning to pubs and roasts and the Draft House in Camden has been added to our list of pubs that tick both of those boxes. The roast offers all the classics – rib of beef, pork belly, half roast chicken and a not so classic but very welcome mushroom, feta and walnut wellington.

We opted for the beef and the veggie option – happy to see something different from the usual nut roast. The Hereford rib of beef was cooked perfectly, it was tender and full of flavour. But most importantly, what about the Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes we hear you ask! First of all the Yorkshire pudding – it was huge, no complaints or asking for extras here! There were also a great number (six!) of potatoes alongside roasted carrots and green beans. The mushroom, feta and walnut wellington was also a hit – it had a great flavour and still retained enough moisture to ensure the filling wasn’t dry. A good gravy that wasn’t too runny, completed the roast.

If you’re after a good roast in a pub that knows its beer then check out the Draft House – there are 12 sites around the city so there’s bound to be one near you for the next blustery Sunday refuge!
