Our faves Backyard Cinema are back with another awesome cinema experience and quite frankly we have messed our pants a little bit with excitement…
Last year we went to a few, of the many many, cinema experiences London had on offer throughout the summer and the stand out events were anything by these guys. From their summer evening residency on the cobbles of Camden Lock to their Zombie Apocalypse experience last halloween they hit the nail right on the head of what a cinema experience should be. In fact they’ve probably ruined other cinema experiences for us because no one else is on par with what they do! (Yes, I’m still bitter at the money grabbing experience of ZSL’s silent cinema lol)
And now they’re back with a hand picked selection of their favourite award winning films, from the last 12 months, fittingly screened in the stylish setting of Altitude, 29 floors above London at Millbank Tower. Plus they’ve partnered with Bacardi and sorted out a top mixologist on the form of Ally Martin.
So expect to arrive on a red carpet before being whisked up to enjoy a celebration of film and enjoy incredible views over the capital. Once inside, our traditional 1950s usherettes will be on hand to lead you into a cinematic extravaganza, featuring fabulous food from Skyloft restaurant and Hollywood inspired cocktails. To get you well and truly in the mood for movies, there will be popcorn, ice cream, sliders and veggie dishes to enjoy alongside a series of short films & retro trailers and a few Backyard Cinema surprises, of course.
