OnBlackheath Festival

OnBlackheath is a new music festival that has caught our eye with their impressive music line-up.

Taking place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September artists include the likes of Travis, Metronomy, De La Soul, Kate Tempest, The Libertines, Seasick Steve, Jake Bugg, KT Tunstall and Fun Lovin’ Criminals amongst others.

Of course no festival is truly complete for us without a stellar food line up too!

Partnering with John Lewis and curated by Masterchef finalist and private chef Tony Rodd, the food line-up features a number of guest chefs from all walks of life, making sure there is something to suit every palate.

Saturday’s cookery line-up will feature chefs such as Jane Devonshire – the winner of MasterChef 2016. Jane’s catalogue of recipes ranges from the modest Roast Chicken to the more indulgent Fresh Lobster Pasta with Tomato Chilli and Tarragon.

Also making an appearance on the first day of the festival will be Gary Maclean, who won MasterChef: The Professionals last year. He defeated his fellow finalists with a winning menu of a razor clam starter, a Highland Roe Deer main, and a chocolate pistachio ganache for pudding. Being praised as a “gentleman of the kitchen” by celebrity chef Marcus Wareing, his is a demonstration not to be missed.

The highlight on Sunday will be Michael Bremner, who has appeared on BBC2’s Great British Menu, and is the owner and head chef at Brighton’s 64 Degrees restaurant.

The John Lewis Food Village will also be home to award-winning street food, pop-up restaurants and the local Meantime Craft Brewery Bar – ensuring visitors are both well fed and well hydrated.
