Whether you’re a fully-fledged vegan or not, you can’t deny vegan food has been having a moment of late. Jumping on the band wagon is The Old Truman Brewery whose iconic Boiler House venue is playing host to the brand new vegan market, ‘Vegan Nights’ this 28th September. Delve into plant-based food and drinks alongside DJ sets plus a magazine launch with Bright Zine.
As well as a takeover by Instagram sensation Cook Daily (credited with turning JME vegan), there’ll be a whopping 23 vegan street food traders feeding you on the night, including vegan fast food fried chicken-shop pioneers Temple of Seitan, vegan doner kebabs What The Pitta plus the trail-blazing Indian cuisine from Spice Box and many more.
As well as that flavour explosion, DJ sets come courtesy of #VGANG from Ethics with a wealth of vegan beers and cocktails on offer to get the party started. And if you’re not familiar with Bright Zine, it’s an ethical zine for ethical people, with the Vegan Queens behind the mag hanging out and chatting vegan living throughout the evening.
