Stories on Broadway Market is the latest venture from the lovely people behind The Book Club and Queen of Hoxton.
These guys can’t put a foot wrong in our eyes, it seems their formula of providing cool spaces with spot on cocktails is still going strong and Stories follows in these footsteps…..
On a sunny Sunday afternoon the floor to ceiling windows were wide open bringing a little of London Fields to the table. Check out the cool inside garden at the back if the weather isn’t on your side and the fields stop resembling a Bulmer’s ad. We loved the graphic lights & stools – it’s how we want our homes to look!
The cocktail list is varied but concise enough to work your way through them all! The Aperol Spritz was refreshing and light, Love (story, get it!?) with vodka, raspberry and prosecco was my fav, closely followed by Sob with Hendricks, mango puree & chilli while Short is a nice manly one not for the faint hearted.
We thought we’d better try and line our stomachs and ordered the following to share and graze on…
Marinated halloumi with roasted sweet red pepper and courgette – nice meaty chunks of salty goodness! Smoked haddock fish balls with roasted red pepper and tomato ketchup were perfect for sharing.
We actually opted for the veggie sweet potato and chickpea burger, with avocado, tomato, pepper and chilli sauce with a side of polenta chips seasoned with rosemary, sea salt & parmesan, but for those in need of meat the beef and chorizo burger with roast sweet peppers and manchego looked banging with loads of people tucking into it!
They also offer a brunch menu for those that are up early enough, but after a few of these cocktails that ruled out us!
THIS VENUE HAS NOW CLOSED.
