Looking for a supper club with a difference?
Taking place from Thursday 11th – Saturday 13th April at Good and Proper Tea in Leather Lane is Control Change: The Supper Club.
Normally the focus of a supper club is ALL about the food, but Control Change are doing things a little differently. Bringing together brands with a sustainable or ethical ethos, the entire set up will be considered, from the flowers down to the napkins. Of course the food is still important, so Fat Macy’s (a social enterprise catering company that support young people out of hostels and into their own homes!) are taking over the kitchen, to create a three course meal Eastern Mediterranean inspired menu with support by wonky veg specialists Oddbox. To wash it all down Karma Cola are on hand to supply their awesome fairtrade cola which is made using natural ingredients whilst supporting the communities that the ingredients come from.
The setting will be beautiful thanks to…
Lagom – Delicious soy candles
My Lady Garden – A floral stylist that works in a sustainable way, so recycling or repurposing materials where possible, with flowers sourced seasonally and strictly no floral foams or plastic
The Natural Dyeworks – Small batch, home textiles that are all dyed using completely natural sources such as vegetables.
Aerende – Homewares made in the UK by people facing social challenges. You can think of it is a special place to find a range of carefully crafted products from around the British Isles, created by makers who struggle to access or maintain conventional employment.
Agnes LDN – Reusable grocery and food bags made from Organic, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) Certified cotton to support your sustainability journey. Choose from lots of different sizes as well as bento bags, cutlery pouches and milk bags.
If you fancy a natter, the brands founders will also be in attendance at various point during the three evenings so you will hear from them personally too.
Tickets will be priced at £50 and will include three courses and a welcome drink.
