It’s never too early to start getting festive in our opinion.
Christmas at Camden Market is being given an alternative spin this year with the launch of a new weekly pop-up festive market in the North Yard, running every Thursday from 17 November to 22 December. With a different theme each week, the market will bring together the best independent artisans from across London, plus street food, live music, and – a festive shopping essential – mulled wine.
Open from midday until 9pm each Thursday, the pop-up market will be an alternative post-work shopping spot, offering a different line up of eight unique stalls each week from which to pick up gifts, stocking fillers, and even Christmas trees. Kicking off on Thursday 17th November, ‘Camden Curates’ will feature a concise edit of the best traders from within Camden Market such as artisan gin distillery Half Hitch Gin.
On Thursday 24 November ‘Alter-nativity’ will offer a unique collection of alternative Christmas gifts, while 1st December is all about fashion and jewellery. On 8 December ‘Stocking Fillers’ will be gadgets galore for both kids and adults, and on 16 December ‘Deck the Walls’ will have the best in art and design. Finally, on 22 December, it’s ‘Season’s Eatings’ featuring the best foodie gifts for Christmas.
The North Star bar will also be in permanent residence over the six weeks, a wintery heated haven serving beers, seasonally-inspired cocktails, hot toddies, and mulled wine. And if that wasn’t enough, there’ll also be live music every week from brass bands to gospel choirs, as well as a rotating line up of street food and New York-style pizza slices from Voodoo Ray’s.
