A Little of What you Fancy

That little strip between Haggerston and Dalston is getting pretty exciting right now. Club Mexicana’s vegan fried chicken has taken over Pamela and THE hottest bar of the moment is Tony Conigliaro’s Untitled.

But for all that, it’s worth remembering some of the more understated offering’s. A Little of What you Fancy is the aptly titled neighbourhood restaurant serving up breakfast through to dinner.

The space is pretty low-key and stripped back but the service is friendly and the food comforting.

We went for a late brunch and tucked into their extensive menu. Featuring all the favourites (yes, that means avocado toast), you’ll also find more sophisticated British lunch options and inventive salads. The menu is constantly updated based on the seasons so go with an open mind.

Start your weekend with a mimosa before moving on to their cracking selection of wine chalked up on the wall. We opted for halloumi & avocado on sourdough with perfectly poached eggs and a vibrant red chilli jam.

Their sandwiches pack a punch – a doorstop wedge of toasted sourdough arrived stuffed with melted cheese and was served with a pot of fresh cherry compote.

Because who can turn down a little of what you fancy?
