We’re all about the charity events this week which is handy as La Pâtisserie des Rêves, the contemporary Parisian boutique patisserie are hosting a complimentary, back to school picnic on Sunday 20 September 2015 in Portman Square, to help raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
100 London families will take part by baking a cake with their children and bringing it to the event, which will be held from 3pm-6pm, where other guests will be able to make donations to try the cakes. The event will be in aid of Bake it Better – a Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity campaign, to help get the nation to raise vital funds for the charity. Cake AND a warm fuzzy feeling. The definition of win/win.
The afternoon will culminate in a competition, where cakes will be judged by co-founder of La Pâtisserie des Rêves, Thierry Teyssier, as well as award-winning food writer Rose Prince. A fabulous range of prizes will be up for grabs on the day, and each attendee will also be able to enjoy a complimentary picnic donated to them on arrival by La Pâtisserie des Rêves.
