Located in bustling Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden – Wild Food Café is the place to head for ultimate nourishment!
Sharing tables create a relaxed vibe, organic wine, beer & larger help things flow nicely & I’m ensured by our lovely Aussie waitress that it eradicates hangovers 😉
We started with Love-n-Sharing which is a huge portion of delicious gem lettuce boats filled with yummy dips – think homemade guacamole, hummus & baba ganoush! It comes with plenty of raw crackers & organic sourdough bread for you to scoop everything up with.
They say this is for 2-3 people but you could easily have had it as a main course rather then a starter – we were pretty stuffed after this!
For mains we ordered Wild Food specialities – the Wild Falafel was super nutritious and made up of organic pistachio, olive & coriander superfood falafel balls, sprouted chickpea hummus, baba-ganoush, sprouted quinoa tabouleh, red pepper dressing & tahini. Perhaps quite samey to the starter but we both ordered a big slab of organic unpasteurized halloumi cheese on the side to mix things up!
The Wild Burger was strongly flavoured by the raw olive & mushrooms, it came with a salsa verde, caramelised onions, more baba ganoush and all served in a wheat bread bun.
We’ll be sure to swing by in the day, mid-shop, for a super smoothie – fancy something stronger? These guys welcome you to add a shot of organic rum or vodka!
