The Balcon is launching a range of exciting new dishes and drinks to get us all in the summer spirit.
Matt Greenwood has taken over as Head Chef at The Balcon. Previously at European dining room, Blixen, Matt has brought his New Zealand heritage with him, creating new French fusion plates such as Grilled mackerel with blackened shallot puree, pickled vegetables and Greek yoghurt. Perfect for warm summer evenings, when they eventually (hopefully!) arrive. There will also be a new eight-course tasting menu available.
For days when the sun is shining and you want to dine al fresco, you can pick up a picnic hamper and take it to your favourite spot in the park. Packed with a range of mini sandwiches, ‘petits farcis’, sweet cakes and more, the hampers are perfect for a relaxing afternoon with friends and family. A special children’s hamper is also available for younger members of any picnic party!
And for the more indulgent among you, The Balcon has partnered with French caviar house, Sturia, to offer a caviar bar and champagne trolley throughout the summer! There will be three types of caviar on offer, starting at the more accessible price of £38 for 15g.
The British summer may not be reliable but the offerings from The Balcon certainly are!
